Last week Ryan Gosling gave his voice to the voiceless – factory farmed animals. Ryan published his opinion piece through the Globe and Mail, expressing his incomprehension on how we value some animals lives over others.
He even quotes our beautiful Jane Goodall in the piece, stating:
“As primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall has noted, “Farm animals feel pleasure and sadness, excitement and resentment, depression, fear and pain. They are far more aware and intelligent than we ever imagined … they are individuals in their own right.”’
By courageously using his voice to promote awareness of issues surrounding factory farming, Ryan’s got me, and many other animal lovers, swooning at our computers. Its so nice (and refreshing) to see a celebrity use their high profile to highlight such important issues.
